EXPLORATIONS IN PAINT 2
Following on from the initial course, these 5 x sessions continue our exploration of a range of innovative mark-making, painting and drawing techniques using acrylic paint.
As before, there is a focus on play, and the concept of experimentation, and we’ll continue to examine how to apply paint in a variety of both traditional and non-traditional ways as we work towards building familiarity and refinement.
Content will include: mark making using both traditional and non-traditional tools, wet into wet applications, how to create both real and illusional texture and depth, using glazes, as well as working with acrylic mediums. We will also introduce some combination media, adding variety and interest to our work.
It will help if absolute beginners have completed part one: Explorations In Paint, but this is not mandatory.
This practical, hands-on, series of classes is suitable for confident beginners or for those with some limited experience who want to know more about paint and possibility. It could also help to refresh or further develop an existing painting practice.
