ABSTRACT: MAKING THE INVISIBLE VISIBLE
For all levels, this 5-day summer school course will explore how to/why make an image that does not directly reference the visible object.
This class will help you negotiate the uncertain territory of abstract painting; through colour theory, mark-making, arbitrary criteria, mind wandering and more!
Teaching/learning will be conducted with humour, insight, and individual attention to developing your own way of making an image.
Some materials will be provided, but please bring:
-
pen and notebook
-
paints (preferably acrylic or watercolour)
-

-
brushes
-
painting surfaces (paper, board, or canvas)
