THE PAINTERLY PRINT : EXPRESSIVE MONOTYPE / MONOPRINT

Step into the expressive world of monotype and monoprint — where printmaking meets painterly spontaneity. In this hands-on course, you’ll be introduced to a variety of approaches using ink, plates, and paper to produce unique, one-off prints rich in texture, colour, and gesture.

We’ll begin with a brief look at the fascinating history and evolution of this medium, from its origins to its contemporary applications. Then, through guided demonstrations and creative exploration, you’ll learn how to build images using shape, layering, texture, and mark-making.

Whether you're an experienced artist looking to experiment with new techniques or a beginner eager to discover the joy of print, this course offers the opportunity to loosen up, embrace process, and develop a personal visual language. Expect to get inky, experiment boldly, and leave with a vibrant body of original prints.
