This two-day weekend workshop introduces students to multi-layered printmaking processes, combining rich and visually exciting monotype and relief surface techniques.

 

Through the print process we will be encouraging a more intuitive and abstract response. The technique of stencil cutting and the shaping of plexie plates* will be taught in addition to methods of ink manipulation, enlivening surfaces with a sense of depth and the illusion of space. We will also discuss working in multiples and the development of a print edition.
