FLORA I

Aimed at those with a passion for plants and a love of nature, this weekend workshop explores multiple ways to illustrate, represent, and celebrate a myriad of plant life.

Working from real-life specimens, this short course will not only help to develop your observation skills but will also introduce new ways of looking, seeing and mark making.

Group activities on day one will share some simple drawing and dry media techniques before gently moving onto wet media and suggesting some basic methods to add abstraction and expression into your process.

With plenty of possibility on offer, students will work towards the completion of a more self-directed, nature-inspired project on day two using their own chosen media and working from their own specimens if desired.

Whosoever plants a garden, plants happiness.

Suitable for any level of experience.

(Please note: this is not a botanical illustration course).
