THE FIGURE: PAINTING FROM THE RENAISSANCE
This weekend workshop offers students the opportunity to study drawing and painting from the Renaissance period.
Working from reproductions of the great figure painters - Tintoretto, Titian, and Pontormo, we will explore the vision and techniques that underpin their practice.
Over 2 days, and under the guidance of your tutor, you will develop a creative insight into the conception and process of these masters and subscribe this to your own work. Working firstly with pencil, charcoal, and gouache, we will progress to oil paints, recreating the feel and subtlety of these masterworks.
This course is open to all levels, though some prior drawing and painting experience is preferable.
Copies of images will be to be provided by your tutor.
