This is a hands-on workshop that explores our relationship to colour and chromatic systems, looking at historical theories and contemporary approaches to negotiating colour in painting.

Colour is fundamental to painting. It pushes space and elicits emotion. Colour never sits still, moving according to what is around it, both physical and cultural.

Please bring good quality paints, brushes, palette, glue stick, and several sheets 300gsm watercolour paper (if using acrylic or oil colour, please gesso these prior).
