Sofia Drescher is an illustrator based in Auckland. She studied in London, completing an Art Foundation at Wimbledon School of Art, a BA in Textile Design at Chelsea School of Art and Masters Degree at the Royal College of Art, specialising in Illustration.
Since graduating, she has been working as a freelance illustrator and has published graphic short stories in addition to creating editorial illustrations for magazines, alongside various commissions.
In 2013, she received Best Comics Award from 'Art Books Wanted' International Edition Lidu in Prague, and in 2014 she was awarded the Quentin Blake Narrative Prize, Royal College of Art in London.
Her work is in the collection of the MoMA Library and SAIC in New York, V&A museum, the National Art Library in London, the Joan Flash Artist’s Book Collection in Chicago and the MACBA Library in Barcelona.
