Monday Mix (for all levels) is about adventures in art making, keeping an open mind and discovering that there is no rule book for creativity. 

Each week we will explore different processes and ways of creating, often without knowing where the artworks may end up. We will examine and be inspired by historical and contemporary artists who have pushed traditional boundaries. Most of all, we will have some fun in a supportive environment and learn to see everyday surroundings and materials as a rich source of art-making potential. Catherine Thomson is an Auckland artist who has work held in the Pah Homestead and Durham University (UK) art collections. She was also a Parkin Drawing Award finalist 2020. During the first COVID lockdown she started the group, ‘Housebound Art Club’, a regular art inspiration resource on Instagram and Facebook. She is bringing this inspiration to Browne School of Art!
