THE PORTRAITĀ -Ā FOR TEENS

This school holiday workshop is a unique opportunity to study portraiture under one of New Zealand's most notable and respected figurative artists, Zarahn Southon.

This four-day workshop will focus on realist techniques in portrait drawing and painting, whilst observing directly from the model. Students will draw for the first half of the workshop working on several portraits using a range of pencils, charcoal, blenders, chalk pastels. Methods taught will focus on tone, light, proportion, planes and anatomical structure.
