This intensive and rewarding two-day drawing workshop is for students with lots of energy and a desire to explore and experiment. The course will help those looking for new directions and ways to progress their current arts practice, in addition to offering an element of fun for total beginners.

We will begin with a series of group exercises designed to build upon and develop your knowledge of different types of media, introducing unfamiliar tools and methods of drawing. We’ll be exploring scale, surface, space and proportion, as well as discussing selected contemporary drawing practices. Using a range of different surfaces, we’ll gradually progress to larger-scale, more self-directed projects.

On completion of this workshop students will not only have gained confidence in their drawing practice, but will also have gained a greater understanding of their own visual language, enabling them to further develop their work away from the classroom.

"I loved everything from the structure of the course, the advice and the experimental activities, to the individual project day and feedback from the tutor. Zoe is a brilliant teacher, I felt as if I was in very capable hands. I was able to challenge myself and I made huge progress in my drawing practice. What was also amazing was that every student left with a unique project, no two projects were the same. I think that shows that we were given the confidence to explore our own ideas, which is so important because we can go away and continue to develop them". Samantha Lane
