MAKING SOMETHING

FROM NOTHING: A 3D Workshop Using

Found Materials  - ALL

Join Zoe Nash in this two-day, intensive weekend workshop that provides a fun, hands-on introduction to the world of sculpture, installation, and working in 3D.

Beginning with an initial overview of some leading contemporary art makers, Zoe will then guide you through a range of experimental group activities and exercises before you move into more self-directed three-dimensional creating. You will explore ideas around shape, form, composition, narrative devices, purposeful juxtaposition, texture, and visual communication, looking at how to exploit the histories within your chosen objects, and how you create interest via their placement and position.

This is a perfect platform to revitalise your creative practice and lead you into new areas of theoretical and visual investigation, even if you don't consider yourself a sculptor.

Students are encouraged to bring in their unwanted inorganic materials to use as source materials for this class.
