Belinda Griffiths

Belinda is a conceptual figurative artist living in Auckland. She is a painter and a printmaker with a particular interest in the expressive qualities of mark-making and the human form. 

 

Belinda graduated with a Bachelor of Design in 1998 and worked as a graphic designer before making the shift to full-time art. Belinda has been a finalist in the Adam Portraiture Awards, the Wallace Art Awards, the NZ Painting and Printmaking Awards as well as the winner of the Molly Morpeth Canada’s Art Awards in 2010 and the Estuary Art Awards in 2013. Belinda’s work is held in a number of art collections including the James Wallace Arts Trust, Auckland City Council, the University of British Columbia and the Vernon Public Art Gallery in Canada. 

 

Belinda is represented by Föenander Galleries in Auckland and Solander Gallery in Wellington.
